City Council President To Step Down
Dan Welch announced Wednesday he will not be seeking another term on the Omaha City Council.

Welch has expressed interest in a possible run for mayor and says at this point he says he's 50/50. He was first elected to the council in 2001 and has served as the group's president for the last four years.
Welch says he made his decision now so their would be enough time for candidates to come forward to fill his District 5 seat.
