(Lincoln, NE) -- Nebraska’s Free Fishing and Park Entry Day will be Saturday, May 18.

That Saturday, Nebraska Game and Parks Commission says anyone can enjoy state recreation areas and parks without entry fees.

Free Fishing and Park Entry Day is held annually in Nebraska on the Saturday proceeding Memorial Day weekend.

Some parks will also have planned, family-friendly activities scheduled to celebrate the day.

Game and Parks says anglers must observe all fishing regulations and camping, lodging and all other user fees still apply at state park areas.

Entrance fees for museums at state historical parks and the entrance fee at the Schramm Education Center remain in effect.

More detailed information about park events can be found on the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission website.
