America’s Healthcare Challenge Part Three
The third installment of America’s Healthcare Challenge discusses the issue of increased coverage. While cost concerns still remain prevalent to many, it is also beneficial to explore the issue of covering the millions of uninsured Americans. What did the Affordable Care Act do to address access to health care? It is expected to cover up to 32 million individuals IF it is fully implemented.
We explore how the Supreme Court decision last month will impact Nebraska, particularly those supposed to be on Medicaid. We were joined live from the beltway by Jennifer Haberkorn, the health care reporter for Politico who updated us on what we can look for politically in the short term, what this decision means for the future of Medicaid and many other useful coverage pieces like health insurance exchanges and others.
