News at the top of the hour, 6am - 1pm Monday thru Friday
Tony's glad to be back in Omaha after a stint in Atlanta, where he won an Associated Press Award for Best Newscast. He also worked for CNN Radio and the Georgia News Network.
In Omaha, Tony's been on the radio for decades, starting out on Sweet 98's Breakfast Flakes show and ending up with a long tour of duty on sister station KGOR. In addition to his KFAB duties, he also provides morning news on sister stations KGOR, KAT103 and 93.3 The Wolf. (Yes, he moves quickly thru the hallways.)
Tony lives in Omaha with his Beautiful Wife, Ronita... enjoying his awesome extended family and the world's greatest city!
Ever wondered what would happen if the greyhounds caught the bunny?
Probably a little like this: A bizarre bicycle race between a bear and two monkeys ended in a bloodbath after the bear toppled one of the primates from its bike and wolfed it down in front of a circus audience.
The incident happened at the annual 'Wild Animal Olympics' at an animal park in Shanghai:
Hundreds of thousands of children are reported missing each year according to The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children — although that figure includes vast numbers of kids who briefly run away, are abandoned or are taken by relatives.
The center says a far smaller number, about 115 a year, are victims of “stereotypical” kidnapping, meaning they are abducted by a stranger or an acquaintance, taken far from home and held with the intent to keep them for good.
One of my guilty pleasures on the tube is "The Amazing Race". It's like Rick Steves on speed. You get to see the world and learn a little, but at a fever pitch.
It takes some attention to follow the show, because it tends to be pushed back due to runovers with football and golf. But it's a fun hour.
A fun two-hours this past week for the finale of this season... so who won? If it's still sitting on your DVR... don't click!
Shareholders are accustomed to all sorts of cool stuff being available for the annual Brookshire Hathaway get-together.
But unlike the old joke, if you have to ask how much this baby costs, it's encouraged...
If you can stomach it, my friends, here is the tale of an invasive fish... a "Frankenfish", if you will, that can live out of water for days and has started feasting on pondlife in Central Park.
So much so, that NYC officials are hunting these bad boys.
