On Thursday’s Good Morning Show:

Karen Hanretty is the Vice President of Public Relations for the American Beverage Association.  Their group is opposed to State Senator Bill Avery’s bill, LB 447, that would remove the exemption and allow sales tax to be charged on soft drinks. The extra tax would be used to fund some new government programs with a small amount going to the state general fund. Scott and Jim press Karen to explain why we should not charge sales tax on foods with little or no nutritional value.

And it’s Thursday, so time for another visit with Jerry Hudson ON the News.  This week, the proposed immigration plan by the Senate’s Gang of 8, and a likely end to the ban on gay scout leaders in the Boy Scout’s were among the topics of conversation.

You can hear these and other interviews from the show on the Good Morning Show podcast page.
