On Monday’s Show:

We were as surprised as the rest of the world about 5 AM when word came that Pope Benedict XVI is resigning at the end of the month.  So we called in the official priest of the show, Fr. Ryan Lewis, pastor of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. He says that no one saw this coming, but there were signs that Benedict had left the door open that he might resign if the situation called for him to.

Joe Jordan of Nebraska Watchdog paid his weekly visit to the show and talked about troubles with Gov. Heineman’s plan to eliminate the income tax.  And that is impacting the Mayor’s race as mayoral candidate State Sen. Brad Ashford, who introduced the Governor’s legislation, is getting heat and possibly losing out on campaign contributions because of  Democrats who might support Ashford but don’t support the tax plan.
