Gold Chains Stolen From Sears

Police trying to solve the smash and grab theft

Omaha Police say it happened on April 14th at 6:20 p.m. Officers were called to the Crossroads Sears Store in regards to a theft.

An employee told officers he saw a black male enter the store in all dark clothing with a bandana covering his face. The suspect ran to a jewelry counter, took out a brick then smashed the jewelry case.

The thief grabbed 17 gold chains and ran outside to a waiting vehicle.  The chains were valued at $11,000.  The suspect is a black male, 6 feet tall wearing a black hoody, blue shirt, black jeans, black shoes and what appeared to be a purple bandana over his face.

The vehicle used was found to have been stolen and has already been recovered.
