Joseph Reynolds gets 33 months for multiple failures to register.
A Nebraska sex offender with a history of registration violations has been sentenced to 33 months in federal prison.
A news release from the office of U.S. Attorney Deborah Gilg says 36-year-old Joseph Reynolds must serve five years of supervised release after he leaves prison.
Gilg's office says Reynolds was convicted in 1996 of attempted sexual assault and was required to register as a sex offender until 2026. His record includes convictions in Nebraska, Oregon and Washington for failing to properly register.
Gilg's office says Reynolds moved from Washington back to Nebraska last May and didn't register.
Reynolds was arrested on June 13 by members of the Omaha Fugitive Task Force. He was found hiding in a closet at an Omaha residence.
