A northwest Iowa teenager who decided a cardboard cutout of former Heisman Trophy winner and NFL quarterback Tim Tebow was a better date than no date has made special memories at her high school prom.
Rachel Bird says she sent Tebow a Twitter message, asking him to escort her to this past Saturday's prom for Kingsley-Pierson High School. She says he's attractive and she likes the Christian way he conducts his life.
When the subject of ``Tebowmania'' didn't respond, she abandoned the idea.
But on Saturday, Bird reconsidered and concluded that a cardboard cutout of the heartthrob would make her prom memorable.
Bird says that at the prom, girls wanted to dance with her quarter-inch-thick escort and the boys had their pictures taken with Rachel's ``date.''
