Injuries to the Omaha firefighters are believe to be minor.

Two Omaha firefighters suffered minor injuries when they fell thru the first floor of a burning house near 32nd and Myrtle this morning.

"They were actively attacking the back of the house (when) the floor gives way, and they went into the basement," said Assistant Fire Chief Steve Asudemore.  "They called for a mayday."

Numayr Adbdar-Rahaem lives nearby.  She's worried about how the 2-alarm fire started.  "What caused this fire?" she asked.  "Because it was in the back of the house, and there was nobody living there.  It just doesn't make any sense."

The two firefighters were taken to the hospital for treatment.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
