Eighteen major road projects will get underway soon, including 11 in residential areas.
The city of Omaha is getting ready to start 18 major street resurfacing projects for the summer.
City Councilman Pete Festersen told Channel 6 News the weather played a part in determining which projects would take priority. "We were blessed with having a very light winter," he said. "So we don't have any of the problems we experienced in previous years."
Eleven of the 18 projects are in residential areas. Price tag: about five million dollars.
