Nancy Sebring is seeking an injunction in Polk County District Court.

(A-P)

The former Des Moines School superintendent, who lost her new job in Omaha, is going to court to stop the release of more emails she sent to a lover using the Des Moines district's computers.

Sebring says a small number of the emails are "of a purely personal nature'' and "of no public interest.''

She says school district practice is to delete the emails of former employees. However, the district has refused Sebring's requests. Sebring abruptly resigned from Des Moines In May.

The Omaha school board voted last weekend to accept her resignation after reports of the emails were published.
