New York businessman Gary Green says the Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals will stay in Papillion
Lifelong New York Mets fan Gary Green is the new CEO of the Omaha Storm Chasers. During a Tuesday news conference at Werner Park Green said the community support for the Chasers and a brand new state-of-the-art ballpark were reasons he and his group of investors were interested in purchasing the team.
Former team president Alan Stein is a minority partner and consultant. The team was previously owned by William Shea, Warren Buffett and Walter Scott. Green says General Manager Martie Cordaro and his management team will remain in place. "I will assure you. We don't mess with success" Green says.
The Storm Chasers have a 23 year lease agreement remaining with Sarpy County.
