A Polk County judge has refused to block the release of more emails from former Des Moines school superintendent Nancy Sebring to her lover.

Judge Robert Hansen issued the ruling on Friday. He also denied a request that the man's name be removed from the emails. Sebring sought a court injunction to block the school district from releasing emails she sent or received using her district email account.
She argued that the emails yet to be released are personal and the content is of no public interest. Sebring was hired as OPS superintendent and was supposed to begin her new job on July 1st.
She abruptly left her Iowa job in May when the e-mails became public and submitted her resignation with OPS earlier this month.
