The Iowa city hits the streets for a dance video to save its temporary levee.
"There'll be music playing, and bodies swaying. Dancin' in the streets."
No word if Martha Reeves and the Vandellas will be in attendance, but there will be dancing in the streets of Hamburg, Iowa today.
Mayor Cathy Crain says they're recording a flash mob video to raise money to save a temporary levee built last summer that saved the town from the Missouri River flood.
"You will walk away saying, 'They're small-town, but they're creative,'" says the mayor. "'And, they've got talent.'"
Crain says they have to come up with more than $4.5 million to make the levee permanent, and the town is tapped out from fighting the flood.
The video will be posted online with the hope that viewers will make a donation.
