Deffenbaugh Industries officials say employees are encountering health and safety issues due to the extreme heat
Some Thursday trash collections were missed as Deffenbaugh worked to train new workers to replace the heat stressed employees.
Deffenbaugh plans to work through Saturday to make sure all of the pick ups for Thursday and Friday are completed. Residents are asked to keep their materials on the curb until Deffenbaugh can get to it.
It's anticipated that because the extreme heat conditions are expected to continue into next week, additional delays may occur.
Residents can report any missed collections to the City’s Solid Waste Hotline, (402) 444-5238 after 7:00 PM on their normal collection day.
