Omaha Zoo Foundation officials say it will take six month to tear down the former home of the College World Series.

Anderson Excavating has been hired to bring the 64 year old stadium down.  Anderson was also responsible for the demolition of Aksarben and Peony Park.

Once the stadium is down, zoo officials will build commemorative park called Johnny Rosenblatt's Infield at the Zoo, which will use elements of the stadium in it's design.

The colored seats, the arched Rosenblatt sign and outfield foul poles will be used in the new project.  Demolition will begin at 10:00.
