OPPD worker alerted family to impending danger

Eric Sueper says he was in his bedroom watching television this afternoon when he heard a knock at the door of his home near 61st and Elm.

When he answered it, an OPPD worker told him the house was on fire and to get out.  He and the other three people living there were able to make it out as the house was consumed by smoke and flames.

Sueper says his sister and her husband live in the home.  They were just married on Saturday.  He says he is grateful that they are all alive.  But the house is a total loss.  The cause is not yet known.
