Chris Jerram takes issue with Mayor Suttle's attempt to give his staff some healthy pay raises.
Omaha mayor Jim Suttle's decision to give some healthy pay raises to certain members of his staff isn't sitting well with councilman Chris Jerram.
"Whatever happened to the pledge that there would be a pay freeze for four years?" asks Jerram. "I don't think it's fair that we ask citizens to make sacrifices, then we hand out such pay raises."
Those raises are part of Suttle's proposed 2013 budget. Jerram questions whether action to delete the salary hikes from the budget could actually block Suttle from granting the pay raises.
