Wayne: We Need A New Board President

If a vote on school board president Freddie Gray comes on Monday, board member Justin Wayne says his mind's made up.

The Omaha School Board will meet next week, and the future of board president Freddie Gray is on the agenda. Board member Justin Wayne says his mind's made up.

"We need a new board president," Wayne told 1110 KFAB.

Gray's leadership has come into question after it was revealed that she'd been aware of the e-mail issue surrounding superintendent-elect Nancy Sebring. Sebring left her job as Des Moines school superintendent because of personal e-mails she transmitted on the district's server. Gray had publicly stated she wasn't aware of all the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Wayne isn't sure of the outcome of a vote on Gray, should one come up Monday. "When we were having the discussion, it seemed that it was going to be a real close vote."

"I haven't done any straw polls."
