Omaha police are hoping a segment about the murders of an 11-year-old boy and his family's housekeeper that aired on "America's Most Wanted" will open up new leads in the case.

The segment aired Friday night on the Lifetime Channel and profiled the 2008 stabbing deaths of Thomas Hunter and 57-year-old Shirlee Sherman in one of Omaha's most affluent neighborhoods. The bodies were found by the boy's father, a doctor at Creighton University Medical Center.

Police have yet to make an arrest in the slayings, despite a $54,000 reward offer for information on who killed the two.

Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact Omaha Crime Stoppers at 402-444-7867) or at http://www.omahacrimestoppers.net
