An SUV and a white car collided just after 4:00. The SUV rolled over and landed on it's top on a sidewalk on the northeast corner of the intersection.
Four of the victims were taken to Creighton University Medical center. Two suffered critical injuries. The two children suffered serious injuries.
Accident investigators are trying to determine who was at fault.
UPDATE: Omaha police have identified the victims involved. All were in the white car:
- Lynnette Diaz (broken ribs)
- Juan Bringshimback (facial laceration)
- Chole Bringshimback (head laceration)
- Dorothy Blacktaildeer (broken scapula)
- Emilio Bringshimback (cut on arm)
- Nevaeh Bringshimback (minor brain hemorrhage)
None of the victims' injuries are considered life-threatening.
