Kool-Aid Days organizers in Hastings are finishing up last-minute preparations for this weekend's annual celebration of the drink.
This year will be the 15th annual Kool-Aid Days festival, and it marks the 85th birthday of Nebraska's official drink.
The festival honors Edwin Perkins' 1927 invention of Kool-Aid in Hastings. It begins Friday and runs through Sunday.
Highlights of the schedule include a parade, the world's largest Kool-Aid stand, a Kool-Aid drinking contest, a car show, carnival games and live music.
