Two men were taken to the hospital
Omaha Police say just before 11:00 last night officers patrolling in the area of 30th and Bristol heard numerous shots being fired. A few seconds later Shotspotter indicated that numerous shots came from 3343 North 30th Street.
Shortly after that, a 911 dispatcher advised of a shooting at 2906 Bristol. The victim, 20 year old Bobby Broom, was shot in the hip and transported to the Nebraska Medical Center.
Police were also called to a shooting at 5100 Florence Blvd. Friday evening. They learned that a victim had been driven from the scene in a red vehicle. Officers found a maroon Jeep driving in and out of traffic and conducted a traffic stop at 20th and Lake.
The found the passenger suffering from a gunshot wound to his buttock. He was was transported to the Nebraska Medical Center and is expected to be o.k.
21 year old Randal Edwards told police that he was walking in area of 24th and Saratoga when he was struck by a bullet and then ran to the Florence Towers. Officers were unable to locate any suspects or witnesses.
