Two banks were held up Monday morning, but police say they don't appear to be connected.
Omaha Police say the first bank was robbed around 10:00 a.m. A black male wearing a ski mask and armed with a gun walked into the First National Bank branch near 24th and Oak and demanded money. He then fled the scene.
Nearly 15 minutes later and several blocks to the south a man came into the Wells Fargo bank near 24th and L Street and demanded money. Police say he did not show a weapon. He too fled the scene.
An officer patrolling the area saw a man running from the Wells Fargo Bank. 48 year old Jesus Robles was found by other officers near 23rd and M Street hiding in bushes. Police say Robles resisted arrest but was eventually taken into custody. He was booked for Robbery, Obstructing a Police Officer and Resisting Arrest.
The Douglas County Sheriff Deputies and FBI agents helped in the investigations.
