Gunfire hits several neighborhoods
(UPDATE 8:47a to reflect identity release of Sunday night shooting victims)
Omaha police investigators have been kept busy after five shootings killed two people, and wounded seven others.
It started early Sunday morning. Edward Moore told Omaha police he was walking near 29th and Seward around 2 a-m when someone drove up and shot him. He was able to get a ride to the Immanuel Medical Center and treated for what was described as a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Later Sunday morning, Omaha police found a shooting victim near 30th and Laurel Ave. Damion Davis was rushed to the hospital and later pronounced dead. Witnesses say they heard as many as three gunshots.
Sunday night, a woman identified as Kim Prince was shot to death and two men... Devante Mitchell and Kenyon Muhammad... wounded outside a residence near 53rd and Hartman Ave.
And early this morning, two men were wounded in separate shooting incidents.....one near 42nd and Paxton Blvd., the other near 43rd and Grant Streets.
At last report, no arrests have been made.
