Teen Murder Suspect Wants Case Moved To Juvenille Court

A 17 year old boy accused of killing an Omaha girl wants his case transferred to juvenile court.

Justin Lenz faces adult charges of first-degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony. He's accused of killing 16-year-old Melanie Koontz.

Her body was found in Cole Creek near 78th and Blondo back in May.  Prosecutors say she was strangled.

The boy's attorney filed a motion to transfer the case to juvenile court. A hearing date hasn't been set.
