Omaha film historian Bruce Crawford brings co-star Cindy Williams for a special screening at Joslyn Art Museum November 2.

The beginning of a film genre is celebrated in Omaha next month, as film historian Bruce Crawford screens "American Graffiti" at Joslyn Art Museum.

His special guest for the November 2nd screening of the George Lucas classic will be Cindy Williams, who played Ron Howard's girlfriend in the movie and later starred in TV's "Laverne and Shirley". One of her co-stars from that series, Eddie Mekka, will also appear.

Proceeds for the November second program benefit the Nebraska Kidney Association. Tickets are 20-dollars, available at Omaha area Hy-Vee stores.
