Omaha police say suspect may be responsible for other bank holdups around the region
Around 10:20 Wednesday morning officers were called Bank of the West at 79th and Cass.
The employee told officers that a man came in, gave the teller a note indicating he had a gun and demanding money. After getting an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect fled in an unknown direction.
He's described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, 280 pounds, with brown hair, wearing a sweatshirt and sunglasses. The photo below is from a bank robbery last month in Janesville, Nebraska.
Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Bureau at 444-5652, or Crime Stoppers at 444-STOP.
