Omaha City Council approves project
The Omaha City Council on Tuesday gave the green light for a redevelopment project that will allow a 184-thousand square foot Walmart to be built at 50th and Ames.
In addition to filling a retail and grocery void in north Omaha, the new store will creating almost 300 new jobs in the area.
The new Walmart will replace the old Baker’s Supermarket and the existing Family Dollar Store.
