City officials say the bridge will be closed during the week from October 18th until around Thanksgiving.
City spokesperson Aida Amoura says the 2-3 week closing is due to construction that will be taking place on the bridge, 10 hours a day on weekdays only.
The Bridge will be open at night and on the weekends. However, during hours of construction, no one will be allowed on the bridge for safety reasons.
The Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge is in the process of getting lights that went out of service days after the bridge opened.
