An Iowa teenager was killed at a train crossing in southwest Iowa Friday evening.

A teenage girl has died after being hit by a freight train in the southwest Iowa community of Stanton.
Montgomery County Emergency Management reports a BNSF Railroad crew reported hitting the girl just before 5:30 P.M. Friday at a railroad crossing on the southern edge of Stanton.
The girl's name is being withheld until her family can be notified.
Stanton is about seven miles east of Red Oak.
