A Lincoln man is now facing charges after a gun fell out of his waistband in front of a corrections officer.

25-year-old Joshua Vanderharr was arrested early Sunday morning after the incident was reported.

A corrections officer called police around 12:15 a.m. to report seeing something that looked like a gun fall out of Vanderharr's waistband.

Police Capt. Jason Stille says officers searched the area and found a .40-caliber revolver.

Vanderharr was arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon and unlawful possession of a handgun. Investigators are trying to determine who the gun belongs to.
