A man and woman were taken into custody this morning on north 40th Street in Ponca Hills
Lt. Joe Martinec says they received a report from a neighbor that someone was breaking into a home around 9:30 Friday morning. When deputies and Omaha police arrived they saw a car parked outside that had been reported stolen in a burglary in which several high powered guns were taken.
Martinec says the man and woman were still inside as they surrounded the home. He says the woman was found hiding in the garage and taken into custody.
The man refused to come out and hid in the attic. The K-9 unit was sent inside and Martinec says the man fought with the dog before being bit on the arm. He was then taken into custody.
25 year old Rebecca Ramirez of Council Bluffs was booked for two counts of burglary, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest and obstruction.
Similar charges are pending against 28 year old man Bradley Janisch of Omaha.
