A mom and her son get a chance to personally thank the four Omaha Police officers who rescued them from the cold waters of Carter Lake on Sunday.

Officer Kelly Murphy spotted the overturned boat, but had to wait for another officer to arrive. "It's a horrible feeling to hear somebody calling for help, and you can't do them any good unless you're safe, too," she said.

Kay Dunn says she yelled for the officers to save her son. "All I could see was him going down and coming up. And my last sight of him was when the officer grabbed him, and I knew he was going to be okay."
