285 days without the white stuff sets a new Omaha record.

Omaha and other midwest cities are setting records for the lack of snow.

The National Weather Service says the 285 snowless days as of Wednesday breaks the record 284 days that ended December 30th, 2006.

Today marks a record-breaker in Lincoln... 297 days without measurable snow. And the Des Moines mark of 277 days set in 1889 is being matched as of today.

But good news may be ahead for winter wonderland fans: forecasters say snow is in the forecast for Saturday night or Sunday in Nebraska and Iowa.
