Investigators say 14-year-old Isaac Aragon and a friend were trying to cross the street outside the crosswalk.

A teenage boy is critically injured after being hit by a car in the road near 132nd and Larimore Avenue Friday night.

Police say two teens were starting to cross the road outside the crosswalk. One of the teens stopped because of traffic, but 14-year-old Isaac Aragon kept going, and was hit by a car heading north.

He was taken to UNMC with multiple injuries.  Investigators say Aragon was listed in critical but stable condition in the trauma unit. The driver of the car will not be charged.
