Lincoln woman has been found guilty of faking an anti-gay hate crime

Rogers pleaded no contest to the crime on Monday after initially pleading not guilty. Her lawyer, Brett McArthur, says Rogers maintains her innocence, but decided she wasn't up for the court battle.
Previously, the former University of Nebraska-Lincoln basketball player had said she was eager to tell her side of the story in court.
Rogers is charged with making a false report for telling police in July that three masked men broke into her home, assaulted her and carved derogatory words in her arms and abdomen.
The 34-year-old Rogers is scheduled to be sentenced on February 14. She faces up to one year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
