Public Works Department no longer issuing tickets
The City of Omaha will cancel its snow emergency effective at midnight. Public Works officials stopped issuing tickets at noon today in anticipation of the cancelation.
Crews will continue to work on clean up operations until noon Saturday. City crews have finished all residential areas as well as the main arterial streets, but will revisit spots where snow packed conditions could still be causing problems for motorists.
Requests for sand barrels, snow removal, and snow operations information may be directed to the Omaha Street Maintenance Division at 444-4919.
