Michael Williams attempted suicide Sunday in the Sarpy County Jail. His attorney says Williams took several Tylenol pills he saved up.
Williams pleaded guilty in October to first-degree murder as part of a deal with prosecutors. He admitted fatally shooting Michala Pomfret, and attempted suicide within days of the April shooting.
Williams is scheduled for sentencing in January. His attorney says that could be on hold as Williams gets treatment at a diagnostic center in Lincoln.
Prosecutors say Pomfret was shot on the front porch of her mother's home.
