Four officers are now on administrative leave as the investigation continues into the shooting of Tyree Bell.
More details on the police shooting death of 31-year-old Tyree Bell on New Year's Day in Omaha.
Police chief Todd Schmaderer says Bell pointed a gun at officers while using his three-year-old as a human shield. Schmaderer says Bell then put his son back inside the house, and came out with guns pointed at officers. They then shot him several times.
Schmaderer says cruiser video captured the entire incident and calls it "emotional and graphic." He says the child came running out of the house after his father was shot.
Bell had a lengthy criminal record and mental health issues. Officers Alan Peatrowsky, Carl Hanson, Douglas Arrick and Chithauta Hester are now on paid administrative leave pending a grand jury investigation.
