Water pressure took a hit when a water main failed about 3am around north 9th and Avenue F, which is a few blocks north of West Broadway.
Channel 6 News reports that at one point, the geyser was shooting up from street level. One car actually drove into the hole. Authorities later roped off a nine-block area because of the street flooding.
Schools are asking that students bring bottled water today.
