City officials gave the all clear at 1:15 Thursday afternoon that it is ok to resume water use.
Council Bluffs officials say it's ok to once again drink the water. Water Works General Manager Doug Drummey says the boil advisory that was issued yesterday following a massive water main break was lifred at 1:15 on Thursday
Drummey says they feared that a drop in pressure early Wednesday morning could have allowed contaminants to reach the water lines, posing a health risk.
Drummy says a 24 inch water main broke around 3:00 near 9th and Avenue E. About three million gallons of water was lost in one hour.
