Two Men Arrested In Kidnapping Case

Omaha Police say a man and woman were forced to withdraw money from their banks after a late night workout.

Omaha Police were called to the parking lot of Blue Moon Fitness near 109th and Emmet Street to investigate a robbery. The couple told officers they had just finished working out and were heading back to a their vehicle when two black males approached them.

They indicated they had a gun and forced the victims into two separate vehicles, one belonging to the victim and the other driven by the suspects. 

The man and the woman were forced to drive to a bank near 132nd and West Maple and withdraw money from the ATM. The suspects fled from the area in a vehicle after getting the cash.

About 90 minutes later officers found three suspects in a vehicle near 30th and Ames Avenue. They were transported to Police Central Headquarters and subsequently arrested.

Police have booked 18 year old Deanthony Smith for Robbery, Kidnapping, Terroristic Threats, Possession of a Gun by a Prohibited Person, Use of a Gun to Commit a Felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Stolen Firearm.

21 year old Jerrod Norals was booked for Robbery, Kidnapping, and Terroristic Threats.  The third suspect, a 16-year-old male, was taken to the Douglas County Youth Center and booked for Robbery, Terroristic Threats, Kidnapping and Possession of a Stolen Firearm.
