Cookie Hoberman was given two years probation for causing a deadly accident last May

Hoberman had been charged with motor vehicle homicide after turning into the path of a motorcycle near 157th and Pacific on May 23.  The crash killed 44 year old Jeffrey Ahl, a father of three children.

Hoberman, who is visually impaired, also had her drivers license revoked for a period of time.  The state will determine the lenghth of the revocation period.

Ahl's mother Sandy had hoped Hoberman would not be allowed to ever drive again.  But she and her family did not want jail time for the 69 year old Hoberman.

Ahl says her son was an advocate for the elderly and motorcycle safety.

Several years ago Hoberman and her husband started the Winner's Circle Motivational Program to help disadvantaged children.
