The chase ended when the crusier was hit by two vehicles
Bellevue Police say Officer Jason Melrose spotted a suspicious vehicle parked in Swanson Park as the snow fell late Wednesday afternoon. After asking for the man's i.d., he sped off.
Officer Melrose hit his lights and siren and began to give chase. At 36th and Cornhusker Melrose tried to slow for traffic, but slid on the snow and ice and went through the intersection. His crusier was struck by two vehicles.
No one was injured. Melrose was cited for failure to yield. Police later arrested the 19 year old driver.
