A first of it's kind sporting event In Omaha will allow hockey fans to see two games for the price of one ticket on Saturday, Feb 9 at TD Ameritrade Park.
Harold Cliff with the Omaha Sports Commision says preparation work began three days ago. He says the coils are now in and the boards are going up.
The Mutual of Omaha Battles on Ice will begin with the Omaha Lancers playing the Lincoln Stars in a United States Hockey League game at 12:30 p.m. That will be followed by the UNO Mavericks facing North Dakota.
Prices start at $30 and Cliff says they have sold around 10-thousand tickets so far. Because the ticket is good for both games, Cliff says fans can come and go as they wish.
