Hockey, Home Show, and basketball will boost traffic downtown... and they'll all be looking for a parking space.
Release from Metro Transit:
This Saturday, February 9th, Metro Transit will operate downtown circulator service connecting TD Ameritrade Park, CenturyLink Center with the Old Market, hotels, other attractors and numerous parking options. It will be available from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM operating on a 10 minute frequency. The one-way loop travels east on Cuming Street; south on 10th Street, west on Jackson Street, north on 16th Street and back on Cuming Street. The one-way fare is 25¢ and has 10 bus stops identified with large Event Circulator signs
The circulator service is offered to compliment the multiple events scheduled downtown this Saturday, e.g., the Battles on Ice at TD Ameritrade Park and the Home & Garden Expo continuing at the CenturyLink Center. Curt Simon, Metro executive director, urges persons arriving downtown by private vehicle to park once and board a circulator bus to enjoy numerous venues along the route which provides “door-door” service or a short walk to downtown shops, restaurants, museums, the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge and other attractors. He encourages persons not attending either event to come downtown on Saturday by bus or car, board the circulator and have fun, too!
