Police Helicopter Tracks Burglary Suspects

Two men were arrested early Saturday morning in southwest Omaha

Officers were called to the area of 113th & Evans by someone reporting shattered glass.   As the officers were en route, they saw the suspect vehicle fleeing the area at a high rate of speed. 

The Able-1 police helicopter followed the car.  Police caught up to the vehicle at 108th & West Center and tried to stop it. The driver refused to stop and the officer backed-off and allowed Able-1 to continue to follow the car.

The driver began speeding to to try and avoid Able-1.  The car stopped at 92nd & Mockingbird Dr.  As the photo above shows, both suspects ran from the vehicle. They were eventually caught.  Officers located stolen items and burglary tools inside the vehicle in plain view. 

Back at 113th and Evans,  a vehicle was found with a broken window and a damaged stereo dash. 

The driver, 22 year old Zachery Moore, was booked for Felony Flight to avoid arrest, Driving under suspension, Possesion of Burglary tools, Obstructing, and destruction of property.  

26 year old Matthew Jorgenson was booked for Possesion of Burglary tools, Obstructing, destruction of property and posession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
