A demolition worker suffered serious injuries after falling down an elevator shaft in downtown Omaha

The 20-year-old man was working on the main floor of a building near 14th and Harney around noon today.
Authorities say he stepped back and plunged more than a dozen feet down the shaft.
He was taken to Creighton University Medical Center with serious injuries. The investigation continues.
